Who is behind esimchart?

esimchart was founded by Mustafa Yigit, a sole trader from Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. Mustafa has been building independent comparison portals for over five years — starting with test-vergleiche.com in 2019, which now hosts more than 170,000 product comparisons. esimchart is the latest project — a focused, mobile-first travel-eSIM comparison platform that brings the same editorial rigor to a fragmented market.

The motivation was simple frustration: the eSIM market is opaque. More than 100 providers, tens of thousands of plans, constantly shifting prices and hidden terms. International travelers waste hours comparing fine print across provider websites — or worse, end up paying $80+ in roaming because choosing was too hard. esimchart fixes that with a single transparent comparison view.

Our mission

Help travelers find the right eSIM in under two minutes. We aggregate every active travel-eSIM plan from trusted providers, normalize the data ($/GB, validity, 5G, hotspot), and rank by real value. Marketing copy and influencer recommendations stay out — only verifiable plan attributes count.

Our vision

By 2027 esimchart should be the default place where Europeans, North Americans and South-East Asian travelers go to compare eSIMs — the same way trustpilot became the default for product reviews. We want to be the comparison layer the eSIM industry deserves: open, audit-friendly, free for end users.

The editorial team

esimchart is run by a 10-person editorial team specializing in travel, tech-reviews, content strategy and operations. Every author is real — no AI ghostwriters, no fake bylines. You can read each author's background, area of expertise and tested countries on our team page. Country pages are written by the editor with hands-on experience for that region.

Methodology

How we rate eSIM providers is documented openly on our methodology page. Five fixed criteria — coverage, speed, pricing, activation, support — with transparent weighting. There is no editorial favoring, no pay-to-play and no hidden weight tweak per provider.

Trust and transparency

esimchart is funded entirely through affiliate commission from our partner providers. We never apply a markup — the price you pay matches the direct provider price. What we do not do

That five-year track record means esimchart did not start from zero: editorial standards, content infrastructure and the partner access were already in place on day one.
